• This content is linked to your auto-generated username but not to your real identity
• Content is stored on our servers and discoverable by other users in your area
• All content you create is considered public and may be seen by any nearby users
• Device Communication Data: We use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to facilitate nearby user discovery and content sharing. This includes:
• BLE signal data for establishing connections with nearby users
• Content sharing and discovery between nearby devices
• Device identifiers (not linked to your personal identity)
• Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymous usage statistics such as:
• App crashes and performance data
• Feature usage patterns
• General usage statistics
• Auto-Generated Usernames: We create random usernames that are:
• Not based on any personal information
• Used to link your content and activities during app usage

Information We Do NOT Collect:

• Real names or personal identifiers
• Email addresses or phone numbers
• Social media profiles or contacts
• Payment information

Note: While we do store message content (text, drawings, voice memos), this content is only linked to anonymous, auto-generated usernames and cannot be traced back to your real identity.

We use the anonymous information we collect to:

• Connect you with other nearby Strangers users
• Store and display your public posts (messages, drawings, voice memos) to nearby users
• Enable content discovery and interaction between users in the same area
• Allow users to reply to and interact with posted content
• Improve app performance and fix technical issues
• Ensure the App functions properly

We do not:

• Link posted content to your real identity
• Monitor or moderate content unless reported for violations
• Share data with advertisers or marketing companies

Important: All content you post is public and discoverable by nearby users. Do not post anything you want to keep private.

• Is publicly discoverable by nearby users
• Remains available for discovery until you stop broadcasting
• Can be replied to and interacted with by other users

Public Nature of Content

Important: Strangers is designed for public, anonymous posting and discovery. When you create content:

• All posts are public and discoverable by nearby users
• Content persists on our servers and can be seen by multiple users over time
• Replies and interactions may be visible to others who discover your original post
• You cannot control who sees your content once posted, beyond geographic proximity
• Content may remain visible even after you stop using the app

Think before you post: Only share content you're comfortable with strangers seeing, as all posts are public by design.

Our services are hosted in Australia. If you use the App from outside Australia, your anonymous data may be transferred to and processed in Australia. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

We may use third-party services for:

• App analytics (anonymous usage statistics only)
• Crash reporting and performance monitoring
• App store distribution (Apple App Store, Google Play)

These services only receive anonymous, non-personally identifiable information.

Our App uses BLE for nearby user discovery and content sharing. Key points:

• Content discovery happens automatically when you're near other users or posted content
• Public posts are discoverable by any nearby users through BLE proximity
• Geographic proximity determines what content you can see and who can see your posts
• BLE communication may be subject to interference or unauthorised access by third parties
• You are responsible for ensuring your device's BLE settings are properly configured
• You can disable Bluetooth on your device, though this will prevent content discovery and posting functionality

Australian Users: Under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have rights regarding personal information. Since we don't collect personal information that can identify you, these rights have limited application to our anonymous data collection.

European Users: Under the GDPR, you have rights including access, rectification, and deletion. Given our anonymous data model:

• We cannot identify which data belongs to any specific user, unless you provide us with your username

All Users Can:

• Stop using the App at any time
• Disable location services or Bluetooth on your device
• Contact us with questions about our privacy practices

Strangers is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
• Updating the "Last updated" date
• Making reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes
